Holiday pretties
I've shown a couple of my recent palette purchases for the kick off of the holiday season here, here and here. I have 2 more holiday exclusives to share, which happen to also be Sephora exclusives-- the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and OCC Lip Tar All-Star Mini x 4 Set.
I purchased Hourglass Ambient Lighting in Dim Light over the summer. I really like the soft-focus finish that it leaves on my skin when used as a setting powder or even on bare skin. When I stumbled upon this limited-edition palette I was so excited at the prospect of getting to try more ambient lighting powders. The palette contains Dim Light (which I already own), Incandescent Light, and Radiant Light. Dim Light is a great all over setting powder, but Incandescent Light is a great, slightly sparkly highlighter and Radiant Light is great for warming up a pale complexion. I'm glad that I snatched this one up.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars have always intrigued me. I purchased Nylon, which I believe is a Sephora excusive, when it was first available at Sephora. I quickly learned that a little goes a loooooong way and that if you don't want the color to bleed past your natural lip line, you need to use an invisible lip liner to create a barrier. Once I got those 2 rules down pat, we were good friends. Though I'm not exactly sure if each full size tube is worth $18, I did think that $20 was a fair price for 4 mini tubes especially since these things last forever because you only need a very small amount for each application. The shades included are Memento, NSFW, Anime and Black Dahlia. I've worn Memento-- it was nice paired with a smoky eye. Anime is similar to Nylon but more wearable. I love NSFW but haven't had an occasion to wear it just yet. Black Dahlia is probably my favorite shade in this collection-- it can be applied darker and vampy or sheered out to a berry shade. Very on-trend.
If you have any makeup junkies on your gift list, consider these products. But grab them now before they're gone.
