Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms!
I haven't heard a peep about the new Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms. Then I stumbled upon a display of the the new Matte Balm and Lacquer Balms. I skipped the Lacquer Balms because I have a ton of shiny lip products. But I was intrigued by the Matte Balms. I love a matte lip but I hate how drying most matte lip products can be. As I suspected: a product labeled "balm" would not be too drying. Love!
I grabbed a red (Standout, 250) and a purple/berry (Shameless, 215). Perfect fall shades. I'm really impressed with the pigmentation of these products. Standout applies like a dream. It applies evenly and appears pretty opaque on the lips. It feels light and comfortable, and wears like a champ throughout most of the day without drying out or fading much.
Shameless seems to apply less evenly but can pretty much be fixed with a few additional swipes. Aside from being slightly less impressive due to slight patchiness upon application, it pretty much feels and wears like Standout. And the deep purple shade is so right now!
I really like these. They sort of remind me of Tarte LipSurgence Matte Lip Tint for less than half the price. They even have the same light mint scent and tingle when applied. I'll probably pick up a couple more since I've been (re)obsessed with matte lips lately.
Love,
Michele
