tarte Beauty without Boundaries 8-pc Collection

I love Tarte products. There's nothing like the QVC-exclusive Tarte kit when it comes to value. I waited a month for this kit to make it's way to QVC's Today's Special Value. Then I found another beauty blogger who shared a pre-sale code so I pre-ordered mine the week before it was released in QVC--- score!

I've been trying out all the products in this kit for the last week or so. I have to say that the chevron make up bag (to the left) that the items came with/in is my favorite one yet-- and I've purchased several QVC Tarte kits. I think that I could easily get away with taking it out in the evening as a clutch.

Ok, onto the actual makeup-y products. This kit includes Tarte's BB Tinted Treatment 12-hour Primer in Light, BB Tinted Undereye Correcor in Fair to Light, LipSurgence Power Pigment in Awakening (lip product), Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara in Black, Light, Camera, Lashes Inner Rim Liner in Black, a double-sided Special Edition Complexion Brush and an Undereye Brush.

Tarte's BB Tinted Treatment 12- hour Primer in Light, BB Tinted Undereye Correcor in Fair to Light, LipSurgence Power Pigment in Awakening (lip product), Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara in Black, Light, Camera, Lashes Inner Rim Liner in Black, a double-sided Special Edition Complexion Brush and an Undereye Brush.

Tarte's BB Tinted Treatment 12-hour Primer in Light: I read that this product ran dark so I ordered the light instead of the medium and the color works really well, but the coverage is so light that medium probably would have been fine too. The product is really light-weight and a cross between powdery and silicone-y in texture. It creates the illusion of a soft-focus finish when worn on it's own. You would never guess that this product contains SPF 30 based on how it feel on the skin-- I love that!

Tarte's BB Tinted Undereye Correcor in Fair to Light: This product does the job to take the blue-edge off of my dark circles. It reminds me of  the Eve Pearl Salmon Concealer in both tone and texture. This product is pretty hydrating but will move all over the place and crease if you don't set it. I set it with my Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage as I do with most every other under eye concealer/corrector I use. This is alright but nothing earth-shattering.

Tarte's LipSurgence Power Pigment in Awakening: This version of LipSurgence is more lipsticky/opaque than their other formulas. QVC describes it as a neutral pink but this shade is more of a warmer pink if you ask me. It's a nice, natural mid-tone pink. Not what I usually wear but is a nice option to pair with smoky eyes or a light, natural makeup day.

Tarte's Lights, Camera, Flashes Statement Mascara in Black: I haven't opened this mascara yet but I think that I've used this formula before. I need to wait until my current tubes are used up/expired before I give this a try again.

Tarte's Light, Camera, Lashes Inner Rim Liner in Black: I have to say, I didn't expect much from this product. The last Tarte liner that I got in a palette (the True Blood palette, I think) was dry and patchy when applied. But this line is soft and creamy, and once it sets it doesn't move. I tried it on my waterline and it applied like a dream and stuck around for quite awhile. I'm really enjoying this product.

Tarte's Special Edition Complexion Brush (double-sided): One side is pointed and one side is a flat top. So far I haven't used this brush to apply the primer (I think it applies well with fingers) but I have used the flat top side to apply and buff in powder foundation with nice results.

Tarte's Undereye Brush: I haven't tried this brush-- not too interested in it. I just don't like to apply concealer with a Filbert brush. Meh.

So those are my thoughts on the Tarte Beauty without Boundaries Collection. I think it's work the cash. I'm enjoying it!

Love,
Michele
