The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag
I've never done a tag post before but I just read Emily's tag post on her blog Beauty Broadcast and was inspired to give it a try! The tag is the Procrastinating Beauty Blogger tag!
1. Name a beauty regime that you rarely do.
I rarely heat style my hair. I recognize that it looks a million times better when I blow dry it or curl it but I have such thick hair that it's a really tedious process. So, yeah, I do a lot of buns and braids.
2. Is washing your make up brushes something that you do regularly?
I do, but not nearly as often as I should. I'm a big fan of spot cleaning (I use this) everyday). I deep clean every few weeks with baby shampoo and lay them out on a clean baking rack to dry.
3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
Not long...just about as long as it takes to get my hands on some remover! Once I have a chip I will incessantly pick at my nails so I *need* to remove the polish or risk scratching up my nails.
4. How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?
Really? I don't think I ever put off buying makeup...silly question.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Not washing my face after I remove my make up (with those wipe things) at night and not applying moisturizer/eye cream before bed. Bad, bad, bad.
6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
Hmmmm...scrubbing my tub. I hate to do a half-assed job when I don't have enough time. But when I find the time to scrub, that thing sparkles!
7. When you go somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?
Yes and no. It really depends on my motivation and how important the destination is to me. If it's a formal/semi-formal event, I definitely make sure to start early so I'm not rushed and can do a decent job. But if it's just a night out, or anything else really, I don't make such a big deal about it and just use the time that I have.
8. Can you commit to spending bans?
Again, yes and no. I can easily cut way back and/or only purchase drugstore products. But a strict no-buy hasn't been my friend in the recent past. Not that I haven't tried, but you beauty junkies know how that goes.
9. How organized are your make up and nail polish collections?
Pretty organized. I have most of my cosmetics separated by type of product and then have my current day-to-day collection in one of my vanity drawers. For nail polish, I have then organized by color family and type-- gel vs traditional polish.
Whew! So there's a little insight to my make up craziness!
