Golden eyes, Part I
Gold eye products are a fave this time of the year. Who doesn't love a little glitz and glam for the holiday season? It's also the perfect companion of the red lip. There are tons to choose from so I figured I'd help you all narrow it down. Today let's talk about powder shadows for now. I'll save the liners, creams and glitters for tomorrow!
1. L'Oreal Infallible 24-hr Eyeshadow in Eternal Sunshine: a white gold with incredible sheen
2. L'Oreal Infallible 24-hr Eyeshadow in Gold Imperial: a sparkly light yellow gold
3. L'Oreal Infallible 24-hr Eyeshadow in Gleaming Bronze: a dirty antique gold
4. Sephora Outrageous Prisma Chrome in Outrageous Metallic Peach: a coppery, metallic gold
5. NYX Ultra Pearl Mania in Yellow Gold Pearl: a bright yellow gold
6. Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio (bottom "eyelid" shade) in I'm Getting Sunburned: a coppery gold
7. Urban Decay Half Baked: a neutral, mid-tone gold
8. Urban Decay Baked: a rich coppery gold
9. Urban Decay Blitz: a yellow-green gold
There's a ton of variety out there. If gold isn't a shade that you'd expect to reach for often, shop your stash. If you have any palettes in your collection, I bet you'll be able to find a gold (both Naked & Naked 2 have Half Baked in their line up). If not, drop by a drugstore. Check out the L'Oreal Infallible line-- they have a few golds to choose from and their pigmentation is pretty decent for the price. Another option would be the Wet N Wild Color Icon palettes or singles. Now go forth and create shiny eyes.
