January birchbox
Yay, the first Birchbox of the year arrived today! The stuff in this month's box is pretty decent-- I'm currently wearing the Under Armour headband :-)
100% Pure French Lavender Hand Buttercream: 100% natural & vegan and gluten free. 3 foil packets were in this box. The formula is rich but the texture is almost mousse-like and doesn't feel too heavy/greasy on the hands. And the scent...gorgeous! I'm really liking this hand cream so far.
Paula's Choice Resist Ultra-light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum: this formula is for normal-oily skins. The formula contain hyaluronic acid which is great for decreasing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I almost always forget to use a serum but I'm going to try to get into the habit so I don't become prune-like before I turn 35.
Serge Normant Meta Revive Dry Conditioner: I was kind of confused when I saw this product-- dry conditioner, huh? So you're supposed to use dry shampoo at the roots and dry conditioner mid-shaft through the end, apparently-- no sure that I quite buy this but I'll give it a try.
Nail Rock in red glitter: now this is up my alley! This little kit contains a red nail polish and a small jar of red glitter. You're supposed to apply the polish then dip the nail into the jar of loose glitter and, voila-- a perfectly glittery, textured mani! I will be trying this. I wonder if it would work with my gel polishes....hmmmmm.
I liked the contents of this month's box, aside from the dry shampoo. I will be able to used it all, though I'm not sure that I would purchase any of it again. But it's always fun to try new things!
