Smashbox Full Exposure Palette

I am a sucker for a neutral eye shadow palette. This palettes was no exception. One row of shadows are neutrals with shimmery, glittery finishes and the other row is made up of matte neutrals. As you can see each shade has an adjacent coordinating shade in the opposite finish. The only shade that has a slightly different finish is the pale pink shade on the top row-- it's finish is more of a satin finish. The concept of a shimmer row and a matte row is reminiscent of  the LORAC Pro Palette, which I love. This palette also comes with a decent-quality dual-ended eye shadow brush.

Top row, left to right: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5 S6, S7
Botton row, left to right: M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M7
The break down: the shades S1-3 & M1-3 are warm-toned, the shades S5-7 & M5-7 are cool-toned and then S4 & M4 are pretty neutral shades. The shimmery shades are pretty sheer, though I bet they would look gorgeous applied wet (pick up shadow on brush, spritz with water/Fix+ then apply-- not a good idea to dip a wet brush directly into your shadows) or over colored cream bases (hello, new Color Tattoos). The matte shadows are pretty pigmented and blend well. The darker shades (M1, M6 & M7) ae slightly powdery but can be definitely be worked with.

This is palette is a really wearable neutral palette with a little flare and sparkle-- right up my alley. I feel like Smashbox has brought us the means to wear a little glitter and sparkle in our day to day looks.

Love,
Michele
