April 2014 Faves
April has slipped away though you'd never know it-- it's 42 degrees out and raining. We're just going to have to pretend that Spring has sprung! As chilly as it's been, we've had some warm weather here and there which explains all this dress & flip flop-wearin' I've been doing recently. Though my favorites from April are mostly fashion-related, I just had to throw in my new MUG eye shadows because they really are every bit as good as people say they are!
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows: These shadows are excellent. The quality is as good as MAC's and, in some cases, better. The color range is huge and the price point is incredible at just 6 bucks a pop. My favorite shades are Creme Brulee, Cocoa Bear, Mocha and Peach Smoothie.
Stella & Dot Norah Chandeliers: Yellow-- I LOVE yellow and tis the season! Being that my hair is a mile long these days, I tend to wear it up a lot. Interesting/dangle-y/bright earrings are a fun way to accessorize when my hair is out of my face.
FitFlops Women's Pietra Sandals in black: Sooooo comfortable. I'm on my second pair of the same style FitFlop. I feel like I'm wearing orthotics in flip flop form (I know, I'm an old lady-- so sue me!).
Mossimo Women's Ponte Blazer in black: This is the perfect way to stay warm AND still wear seasonally appropriate attire even when the weather isn't cooperating. I'm a fan of throwing this baby over my sleeveless shift dresses to dress them up for the office and fight the chill. And the ponte fabric is very comfortable!
ModCloth Breakfast in Brussels: I actually bought a few dresses from ModCloth in hopes of wearing one on my wedding day since we're aiming for a casual event. I tried this dress on and immediately liked it but I thought it might be too casual for what I picture my wedding to be. Love the off-white shade and thought it would be really cute with my black blazer or even my green boyfriend sweater-- and it is! I'm still on the hunt for a wedding dress...
I can hardly believe that it's May. Hopefully, Mother Nature gets the memo soon!
