May Ipsy Glam Bag is here!
It's that time of the month...Ipsy Glam Bag time! This month's theme was Beauty's Fresh Picks. Not sure if that mean everything is natural or it an allusion to spring. At least 3 out of the 5 products seem to be "natural" products (the eyeshadows, SPF and night cream). The puch this month is a natural color canvas with green printed leaves on the front-- very cute and organic-looking. Here's everything that I got.
1. Jersey Shore Sun Sans Tan Pure White Mineral Sunscreen SPF 35: This stuff is...white. I know, shocker! It's a physical sunscreen so it's probably better for the skin but it's...white. I'll give this a try but I hate to look ghostly from my SPF.
2. Pacifica Natural Beauty Duo #1: This eyeshadow duo is free of FD & C color, parabens and petroleum and is 100% vegan. The formula feels soft but the swatches are a bit powdery. The shades are sheer, light in color and not very pigmented. If I was a subtle makeup wearer I'd love this, haha. The shade on the right is a peachy champagne and the shade on the left is a cream tone with a pink duo-chrome which I didn't expect at all. I'll give these a try on a low-key day.
3. Mee Beauty Bee Nourished Night Cream: This cream is very thick, as night creams are, and is infused with pure honey. Honey has moisturizing properties so this is probably a very hydrating product. This product is also paraben free. There doesn't seem to be any added fragrance but it doesn't smell like honey as I was hoping. I'll bring this on vacation with me to apply at night after a day at the beach.
4. Eva NYC Mane Tamer Leave in Cream: This product is meant to be applied to damp hair to moisturize and tame unruly hair without weighing it down. The formula is very thick and has a subtle fragrance that I can't identify but love. This will be good to apply while I'm on the beach to keep my hair from getting fried. Another product for my travel bag.
5. Boo-boo Cover-Up Concealer: This is a cream formula is the medium shade. I'm not entirely sure about what I'm supposed to be covering up-- boo-boo!? Is this referring to blemishes? I'm 34 and I don't refer to pimples as boo-boos so I'm a little turned off but the name. I haven't tried this on my face yet so I can't speak for coverage or wear but I did swatch and it seems to have light-medium coverage. The premise is that this product is suppose to help heal pimples while it conceals them. Next time I get a zit I'll put this to the test.
I really liked the products and the pouch this month-- nice job Ipsy!
