Fall Matte lips

I've always been a fan of a matte mouth. Maybe it's because of my love for old Hollywood glam which, in my mind, translates to a deep, rich matte dark red mouth. I've always been drawn to matte finish lipsticks but, because they are on trend this season, there's a ton on the market to choose from right now! I've taken full advantage of this.

I love when looks I've always loved are on trend. Dark, matte lips are so striking with minimalist eyes and dewy/highlighted pale skin.The only con I can come up with is that matte formulas can be drying-- exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.

Tip:

You can definitely use a DIY vaseline-sugar or EVOO-sugar scrub, but I'd also recommend the ELF Lip Exfoliator for just $3 or the Tarte Maracuja Lip Exfoliant for $16. After you exfoliate your pout, apply a lip balm and let it soak in before applying your matte lip color. After a few minutes, your lips will be moisturized and smooth. You can then blot the balm off a bit an apply your lip color to your newly smooth lips.
